Protect your starting battery and intelligently manage charging between two batteries with the REDARC Smart Start® SBI212D Dual Sensing Battery Isolator. Built for demanding 12V dual battery systems, this microprocessor-controlled isolator delivers a 200A continuous current rating while automatically separating auxiliary loads from the battery you rely on to start your vehicle.

The REDARC SBI212D monitors battery voltage and automatically connects or isolates the start and auxiliary batteries as charging conditions change. This allows accessories such as refrigerators, lighting, air compressors, communications equipment, and other auxiliary loads to operate from the secondary battery without unnecessarily discharging the starting battery.

Unlike a conventional single-sensing isolator, the SBI212D features dual sensing technology. This allows charging to occur from either side of the system, making it especially useful when the auxiliary battery is connected to an external charging source such as solar or an AC battery charger. When suitable charging voltage is detected, the isolator can connect the batteries so both receive available charge.
