DEVOS LightRanger 500
Pack dependable hands-free lighting almost anywhere with the DEVOS LightRanger 500. This hand-sized rechargeable utility light delivers up to 500 lumens with white, amber, and red lighting modes, multiple mounting options, close-range hand-wave activation, and USB-C device charging in a compact 8 oz. package.
Designed for tent nights, campsite tasks, roadside repairs, vehicle work, and emergency use, the LightRanger 500 fills the gap between a handheld flashlight and a full-size lantern. Hang it overhead, clip it to your gear, hook it from a line or branch, attach it to a compatible metal surface with its magnets, or use the 1/4"-20 mount with compatible mounting equipment for flexible hands-free illumination.
When mounted overhead inside a tent or positioned around your work area, the LightRanger 500's close-range hand activation lets you switch the light on or off with a deliberate wave approximately 1-2 inches from the sensor. Combined with selectable light zones, dimmable output, three light colors, USB-C charging, and emergency device charging, it's a compact utility light designed to earn a permanent place in your camp or vehicle kit.

Close-Range Hand-Wave Activation
The LightRanger 500 is designed to make overhead and hands-free lighting easier to operate in the dark. Instead of searching for a small switch when the light is hanging above you, simply wave your hand approximately 1-2 inches from the sensor to turn the light on or off.
This is a deliberate close-range hand-activation feature rather than room-wide motion detection. The short activation distance makes it particularly useful inside a tent, under a vehicle hood, around camp, or anywhere the light is mounted within easy reach.
White, Amber & Red Light Modes
- White - 5000K: Bright general-purpose illumination for tent setup, repairs, cooking, organizing gear, and other tasks where clear visibility is important.
- Amber - 1800K: Provides a softer, warmer nighttime glow for camp and tent use.
- Red - 850K: Provides low-impact illumination when you want to preserve night vision.
Combined with dimmable output and selectable four-, two-, or one-panel operation, these three color modes allow the LightRanger 500 to adapt to a wide variety of campsite, vehicle, and emergency lighting needs.
Mount It Almost Anywhere
The LightRanger 500 provides several ways to position the light without occupying your hands or valuable table space.
- Hook: Hang the light from a suitable line, loop, branch, or overhead attachment point.
- Clip: Attach it directly to compatible gear or other suitable surfaces.
- Magnets: Secure the light to compatible metal surfaces for vehicle and work applications.
- 1/4"-20 Mount: Connect the LightRanger 500 to compatible tripods and mounting equipment using the standard threaded mounting point.
These mounting options make it easy to use the LightRanger as an overhead tent light, hanging camp light, magnetic vehicle light, or close-range task light.
Under-the-Hood & Roadside Lighting
When both hands need to stay on the job, the LightRanger 500 can provide hands-free illumination for quick roadside fixes and vehicle tasks. Use its hook, clip, magnets, or compatible 1/4"-20 mounting equipment to position the light where you need it while working.
At only 8 oz., it's also compact enough to keep permanently stored in a vehicle emergency kit for flat tires, unexpected mechanical issues, roadside stops, or other after-dark situations.
Battery, Charging & Backup Power
- Battery: One (1) 18650 Lithium-Ion Cell
- Runtime: Up to 3 Hours
- Charging Input: USB-C
- Full Recharge Time: Approximately 2 Hours 45 Minutes
