Shipping Policies & Instructions

At Expedition Superstore, we offer various shipping methods to meet your needs, including UPS® Ground, UPS 3-Day Select®, and freight / LTL for larger items. Our preferred LTL carrier is Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL), which ensures safe delivery of palletized items such as rooftop tents and roof racks. We also provide in-store pickup at our Utah location. Please note, we currently ship exclusively within the United States, with additional shipping costs for Alaska and Hawaii. Shipping Methods:

A verifiable street address is required in order to process and ship your order. Please allow 1-2 business days for us to process your order before shipping. Shipping and handling charges are subject to change without notice. Promotional exclusions apply.

UPS® Ground: Average delivery time is between 7-10 days

UPS 3-Day Select®: After 1-2 business days to process the order; delivery within 3 shipping Days (varies depending on delivery address)

Freight / LTL: Large items such as roof top tents or roof racks are required to be palletized to ship safely. These orders will be shipped freight via LTL (lift gate delivery). ODFL (Old Dominion Freight Line) is Expedition Superstore’s preferred LTL carrier. Customers will be contacted by an ODFL associate to coordinate delivery times and options. Orders shipping freight / LTL require a suitable and safe residential or commercial space that allows for lift gate delivery. Shipping timelines may vary.

Free Shipping: Orders eligible for free shipping will be shipped UPS® Ground.

In-Store Pickup: Pickup in store at our Utah retail location during regular business hours. Call or email before you visit to ensure your order is ready for pickup.

Shipping To:

Contiguous United States: We currently offer shipping exclusively to addresses within the lower 48 contiguous United States. We do not ship to U.S. Protectorates, Territories, or APO/FPO addresses.

Alaska & Hawaii: We do not currently offer shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.

Worldwide / International: We do not currently offer shipping outside of the U.S.

Canceled Orders & Address Changes:

Once your tracking number is created, you are responsible for shipping charges incurred due to address changes or canceled orders.

If your order includes large items needing to be palletized such as roof top tents or roof racks, you are also responsible for additional shipping charges incurred in the event the LTL carrier is unable to contact you to schedule delivery, is unable to complete the delivery due to an address being inaccessible by freight truck, or if there is no one present to receive the delivery at the scheduled time.

Expedition Superstore is not responsible for products lost or damaged in shipping. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Freight Shipping / Lift Gate Delivery (LTL)

What is Lift Gate Delivery?
Lift gate delivery is a service provided to assist in the unloading of heavy or large items from the delivery truck to the ground level. If your shipment is too heavy to be lifted by hand, the truck will be equipped with a hydraulic lift gate that lowers your items safely from the truck to the ground.

Preparing for Lift Gate Delivery

Delivery Location Accessibility:
Ensure that the delivery truck has enough space to access and maneuver at your delivery location. This includes considering factors such as narrow streets, cul-de-sacs, low-hanging branches, or other obstacles. The delivery area should be flat and stable to accommodate the lift gate operation.

Scheduling:
You will need to coordinate with the delivery company to schedule a time when someone will be available to receive the shipment. Lift gate deliveries typically require a recipient to be present to oversee and sign for the delivery.

ODFL (Old Dominion Freight Line) is Expedition Superstore’s preferred freight / LTL carrier. Customers will be contacted by an ODFL associate to coordinate delivery times and options.

Space for Unloading:
Make sure there is sufficient space at the delivery site for the lift gate to safely lower your items to the ground. Clear any obstructions or debris from the area where the delivery will be received.

Weather Considerations:
Plan for weather conditions on the day of delivery. Ensure the area is safe and accessible, even in adverse weather.

Recipient Responsibilities:
The recipient is responsible for moving the delivered items from the drop-off point to the final desired location. Ensure you have the necessary equipment (e.g., dolly, hand truck) or assistance to handle this.

Inspect the shipment for any visible damage before signing the delivery receipt. Note any issues on the receipt and report them to the delivery company immediately. Expedition Superstore is not responsible for items damaged during shipment.

Additional Fees:
Please be aware that additional fees may be incurred if the delivery company is unable to contact you to schedule your delivery or if no one is present to receive your order at the time of delivery. Ensure that the contact info you provide the delivery company is accurate and make sure to provide any additional information the driver may need in order to access your address (e.g. gate codes). Expedition Superstore is not responsible for additional storage or delivery fees incurred if the delivery company is unable to contact you to coordinate delivery.

Damaged Shipments:
Before you accept delivery from an LTL carrier, inspect your package / order to ensure that there are no damages. If you determine the product is damaged upon visual inspection, take pictures, reject the delivery, and notify us as soon as possible at info@expeditionsuperstore.com.

If the packaging is damaged, but you are unsure if the product is damaged, take pictures, obtain an Exception Number from the driver, and notify us as soon as possible at info@expeditionsuperstore.com. Regardless of the condition of the packaging, please inspect your product and notify us within three days of any concealed damages. When you accept a damaged shipment, you are responsible for shipping expenses.
